About Me

My Journey

My professional journey has been anything but conventional. It began with a decade of service in the United States Army, where I honed leadership skills in high-pressure environments, navigated challenges, and learned the true value of adaptability and teamwork. The discipline, strategic thinking, and resilience I gained during these years have been instrumental in every endeavor since.

After the Army, I transitioned into technology consulting at Gartner. I had the privilege of working closely with C-suite executives and tactical teams, guiding them through digital transformation efforts, especially during the unprecedented challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic. These experiences broadened my understanding of technology’s role in shaping businesses and navigating uncertainty.

Today, I’m entering an exciting new chapter—focusing on building my own projects, particularly within the Bluesky ecosystem and the broader landscape of open, community-driven technologies. I’m passionate about creating tools that foster meaningful connections and empower individuals to take control of their online experiences. By leveraging the power of open standards, such as the AT Protocol, I aim to help shape the future of social media in a way that prioritizes user freedom, transparency, and genuine community building. My journey is about exploring how data science, machine learning, and AI can be used not only in finance and financial services but also to create a better, more connected digital world.

I am values-driven and believe strongly in community-focused development. My goal over the next 6-18 months is to create impactful projects that prioritize helping others while leaving open the possibility of joining a company that shares these values—such as Bluesky, Hugging Face, or Vercel.

Beyond Work

Outside of my professional pursuits, I enjoy immersing myself in the world of fitness and personal growth. I’m an avid weightlifter, constantly challenging myself to achieve new goals—whether it’s improving my strength or working towards sub-10% body fat by the end of 2025.

I also love researching emerging tech trends, exploring ways AI and open technologies can be used for societal good, and spending time rethinking product positioning and design to make ideas come to life. Building communities around shared interests is a core part of my personal and professional life.
